In response to the “UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030”, IOC Viet Nam is going to host the Workshop "IOC Viet Nam - Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development” to discuss IOC Viet Nam's action plans contributed to the Decade. The workshop is taken place in the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang on April 16th, 2021.

Ideas for IOC Viet Nam's actions and implementation plan will be dicussed at the workshop, which focus on following themes: 1) Building marine science database for sustainable development of aquaculture, tourism and navigation; 2) Increasing community knowledge of microplastic pollution issues and its impacts on marine ecosystems and organisms; and 3) Enhancing knowledge and capacity for marine toxins research and analyse for seafood safety.
