The training workshop was held on 13-17 June 2016, hosted by the Phuket Marine Biological Center, Phuket 83000, Thailand

- Carybdeidae: Carybdea
- Carukiiidae: Carukia and other Irukandjis
- Chiropsalmidae: Chiropsella
- Chiropsalmidae: Chiropsoides
- Tripedaliidae: Tripedalia and Copula

29 young scientists from Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vetnam participated in the training workshop.
