WESTPAC Advisory Group Meeting 2016, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 13-15 January 2016

The WESTPAC Advisory Group Meeting 2016 was held at Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 13-15 January 2016. The main contents of the WESTPAC Advisory Group Meeting 2016 were:

• Brief review of on-going WESTPAC programs/projects since the 10th WESTPAC Session, May 2015:
• Development of the WESTPAC Ocean Research Priorities, including: Theme 1: Understanding Ocean Process in the Indo-Pacific; Theme 2: Ensuring Marine Biodiversity and Food Security; and Theme 3: Maintenance of Ocean Health
• Preparations for the 10th WESTPAC International Scientific Symposium, Qingdao, China 2017
• Involvement of WESTPAC in the 2nd International Indian Ocean Expedition (IIOE-2)
• Commemorative Book in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of WESTPAC
• WESTPAC Office and programmes, and their human and financia challenges, including IOC RP for WESTPAC 2016-2017
• WESTPAC Membership and Partnership
• Cooperation with other organizations/programmes
